Opening Actors perform Revealed at HERE Arts Center!

July 15, 2005

On June 8 and 9, 2005, actors from two of Opening Act’s programs took to the stage in downtown Manhattan and performed to packed houses.  Opening Act was honored to present Revealed: two original plays conceived, written and performed by the acting companies of Walton High School and Clara Barton High School.

The two plays were the result of a year’s collaboration between the teaching artists of Opening Act and two groups of enormously creative and dedicated students.  We at Opening Act could not have been more proud of what they created and look forward to another year of spectacular students and inspiring performances.

Opening Act was thrilled to be selected as one of 35 community-based organizations to receive a capacity building grant from Citizens for NYC’s Neighbors CAN! Program.
