Opening Act was thrilled to begin programming at Franklin K. Lane High School in the Fall of 2007. This year Lane starts their phase out process and introduces two new smaller academies to their building. During this tough transition Opening Act is glad to be able to create artistic opportunities for all of the Lane Campus students. One of the most exciting aspects of Opening Act’s partnership with Franklin K. Lane is the opportunity to work with a remarkable team of administrators who are dedicated to creating a long-standing tradition of theatrical achievement in the school. Though a bit run down and unused, the school houses a small black-box theater space which Opening Act will utilize for its program. With a large number of returning eager students and excitement spreading among the new-comers in the school, this year is sure to be full of success stories.
