Bringing New Stages to NYC Public Schools: Opening Act’s Three Year Expansion Plan
Opening Act began a three year funding and capacity building plan, Creating New Stages, to create the foundation to expand our programs and meet the needs of NYC public schools. We brought our programs to one additional school for the 2006-2007 school year, two new schools for the 2007-2008 school year, and one additional school for the 2008-2009 school year – for a total of eight after-school theater programs – all while maintaining a high quality of programming.
